Sorry it has taken us so long to get back to you, it has been a very busy week and do not have access to the computer very often at all. Now to the good news...
Mehandis is wonderful!!!! He is such a great kid, full of smiles and laughs, he is very easy to get into a good mood. He has taken to us extremely quickly. He is now ours, we got his visa on Tuesday at the embassey and yesterday we had the farewell ceremony at the care center and now we have 24 hour care of him. He slept 10 hours last night but we could barely sleep five as we just watched him sleep. Everything here has been great, the nannies take such good care of the kids and love them so much. They cried when giving up the kids. The house we are staying at is good, we have a great room and the meals have been good. We got to meet his mom on Sunday, that was a neat experience. The drive 4 hours and back was wonderful, got to see some beautiful scenery. We keep saying what a great experience.
The power keeps coming on and off, so I will send this now.

Hi Guys.....Congratulations. Mehandis is beautiful!!! Everything is ok at home, Chewy is fine but scared of the rugrats :) He is always hiding in the mattress/covers. I'm sure he'll be so glad when you are home. Safe travels, see you soon.
All I can say is "Oh my GOD!!!" You guys are the cutest new family ever and I can't wait to meet Mehandis for the first time. I am also very jealous that you are in Africa right now. Enjoy your time there and have a safe trip home. Jill and Tim
You guys look so natural together. My mom even says, if it's possible, Mehandis looks like Michele! We can't wait for our turn!
There are no words to describe the looks of joy on all of your faces! My heart overflows with emotion to recall these special moments and to know how blessed and incredibly happy you are at this moment! Soak up every minute of this amazing experience - they are memories for a lifetime! I can't wait to meet Mehandis! Safe travels home!
